After much consideration, what seems to be such a hard decision really is an easy one. I have decided to temporarily close JAFB amid the current Coronavirus crisis we are all facing. I have poured my heart in JAFB for the last 8 years and I am lucky to have a great team that believes in our mission. JAFB has been open for 1,543 consecutive days. That’s 365 days a year for over 4 years that our staff has been here creating the highest quality beer, providing top notch service, and promoting our unique environment to the Wooster community. Our loyal patrons make us who we are and keep us driven. The health and well-being of our staff and community is priority number one and without you all JAFB would not be what it is today.
After consulting with health & medical professionals and given the current state of public health, I believe closing JAFB is in the best interest for our community and beyond. You never know what life is going to throw at you and sacrifices sometimes need to be made. It is my hope that this decision will help expedite the recovery to our community.
Moving forward we will keep everyone updated through our social media accounts. Listening to government officials and regulations will decide when the time is right to re-open take-out sales and then a complete taproom re-opening. Everybody stay safe, healthy, and optimistic. We will all share a pint soon.
